As we approach summer, taking care of our skin becomes more important. Not only to suit your new wardrobe, but also the heat and other elements that may be aggravating your skin.  In addition to your skin care routine, you should also take into consideration how you sanitize your makeup and tools. Inevitably, oils, dirt, and bacteria from your skin will be transferred to your brushes and products. But did you know that sanitizing your stuff may be easier that you think? Next week starting April 24th is Week of the Young Child 2017 (WOTYC), which celebrates young children, parents, and educators. In preparation for this time, I have been thinking about how I want to share this event with you. The most obvious idea seemed to be sharing activity ideas based on the curriculum themes for each day. As I sat down to write up activity plans, I kept thinking there was something bigger I wanted to say. Taking things back a step, I focused on the event itself. Every couple of years, our phones begin to function improperly and we are forced to purchase a new phone. Is this a coincidence, or is it part of a larger plan? Planned obsolescence is the design of a product to only last a certain period of time. It would make sense to design iPhones in this way, to encourage consumers to buy the latest and greatest devices more often. Not everyone is enthused by the latest gadget, but by rendering their previous device useless after a period of time, even those individuals are forced to take part in this trend. Would it surprise you to know I attended an online school? Yes, for grades 8-12, I was part of an online school (the rest of my elementary/ middle school career I spent in local public schools). As a very shy/ responsible student, online schooling was the better option for me and although there were pros and cons (as with everything) I am very happy I had that option. Like with anything different though, most people I talked to didn't understand the concept of online schooling, which was incredibly frustrating.
