Disneyland and DCA Halloween Re-Cap (Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, Halloween Treats, World of Color)

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is held on select nights at Disneyland and is a great event to attend, especially if you have kids (though adults will enjoy it too). It does book early though so you do want to plan ahead. During the event, all rides are open and lines tend to be shorter. As it gets to be time for the party, only party guests (those with the wrist bands they give at check-in) can go on the rides. You also have picture opportunities with the Disney characters in their Halloween costumes and characters like Jack and Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas. The Cadaver Dans sing on the Rivers of America and are not hard to spot, so check them out as you head through Frontierland and New Orleans Square. And of course, there are the trick or treat trails, where you trick or treat at different spots throughout the park. They do give you a small candy bag at check-in, but you can also use your own. Disneyland Tip Jar: Let's Keep These Between Us

So you want to take your Disneyland skills to the next level? Of course you do! I'm hoping to continue posts like these in the future, so if this is something that has helped you definitely let me know. Also, if you have any tips I haven't mentioned, do share in the comments below. Now shhhh...these are between us, okay? Getting to the parks quicker: if you are staying at a Disney hotel or riding the tram, you will need to walk through Downtown Disney, through the main entrance, and into the park. Or will you? If you are spending your day at Disneyland, head in the direction of the Rainforest Cafe on Downtown Disney and look for the monorail. Take advantage of it! The security and ticket scanning lines are significantly shorter and the monorail will take you straight into Tomorrowland. Going to California Adventure? Head towards Elsa and Anna's Boutique and the Sephora and head in the walkway in between, which goes to the Grand Californian Hotel. Next, veer right...

Disneyland Book Reviews/ Favorites

Unless you are new to this blog, you probably know that I love Disneyland. Disneyland history, stories, and concept art are very important to my library collection. Today I would like to share some of the books I have read and enjoyed about Disneyland.   Disneyland Through The Decades ♥♥♥♥ If you have visited the park, there's no doubt you have probably seen this in stores. Disneyland Through the Decades is a beautiful hardcover book, that retells the history of Disneyland in Anaheim and includes beautiful pictures and artwork. Although I do have books that I like even better, this one is definitely among my favorites.   Mouse Tales ♥♥♥♥♥ If you are looking for unique stories, history, and secrets about the park, this is a great book to pick up and is one of my favorites. I am always looking for books that offer things about the park I haven't heard before (which, after enough research, can be a difficult task). This book has a lot of good information ...

Good Eats at Disneyland (2016 Edition)

Usually amusement park dining isn't known for being healthy or tasty, but you may be surprised to learn that Disney offers more dining options nowadays. Not in the mood for chicken nuggets or a hot dog? Disneyland's got you covered. So without further adieu, here are some of my favorite meals and treats at Disneyland Anaheim! Main Street USA: -Gibson Girl Ice-Cream Parlor -Carnation Café- there are not too many options for breakfast inside the park, but if you're looking for a full breakfast, this is a place to check out, with waffles, oatmeal, fruit parfaits, and more. They also have a lunch and dinner menu. -Jolly Holiday Bakery Café- They have cake. They have cookies. They have cupcakes. Need I say more? Frontierland: -The Golden Horseshoe- If you stop by here, definitely get one of their ice-cream sundaes! They hold the occasional show and it is sometimes a good place to lose the crowd (hint: they have additional seating if you go up the stairs). -Ranco d...
